Since 1965, Claremont Neighborhood Centers Inc. (CNC) has been a vital institution in the Claremont/Morrisania area of the Bronx, dedicated to serving both youth and adults. Among its offerings are evening programs tailored for teenagers, including Youth Leadership and Youth Employment initiatives. These programs aim to cultivate leadership skills and provide employment opportunities, fostering personal and professional growth among participants. Below are the list of the Claremont programs
Our After School Program provides a safe, nurturing environment where students can continue their learning beyond regular school hours. The program combines academic support with recreational activities to foster holistic development.
Activities include homework help, reading support, arts and crafts, physical education, and STEM learning opportunities in a structured setting that promotes both educational and social growth.
The College Life Program prepares students for higher education success through comprehensive college readiness training. We guide participants through college selection, application processes, financial aid opportunities, and scholarship applications.
Our program features college tours, meetings with admissions counselors, SAT/ACT prep, essay writing workshops, and mentoring from current college students, helping make the transition to college smoother and more achievable.
Claremont Workforce Retention Program is an initiative dedicated to connecting individuals in low-income communities with meaningful and sustainable work. By partnering with local businesses, and other workforce development agencies, we offer resume support, interview preparation, and ongoing mentorship that ensures that participants not only find jobs—but build careers.
